5 Health Tips for Each Student

Busy Student

We all know how stressful and busy the student’s life can be. However, we often forget that staying healthy is the result of following some simple rules. At the same time they do not sound simple for the bigger part of the college students, who don’t devote enough time to take care of themselves. Here are only 5 main things, which can help you improve your lifestyle effectively.

Rule # 1 Drinking Water

Does that sound easy for you? Well, research shows that more than half of American children are dehydrated, as we need to drink at least 1,5 liters of clean water everyday. It does not include tea, coffee or any other drinks, as their effect strikingly differs from the effect the water has. It’s better to drink water 20 min. before the meal and 1 hour after it, but not during the course. In the summer time or while doing the exercises the volume can rise to more than 2 liters per day. This simple rule will make your body feel more comfortable and a state of mind clearer. At the same time it will help your body fight with stress.

Rule # 2 Spending Time Outside

Research shows that we need to spend time under the sunshine for 2 hours per day in order to receive enough solar energy. The most pleasurable way to do it is for everyone to take his or her favorite books and go outside to enjoy reading. One can also spend some equal time with the friends playing volleyball or just walking. If it is wintertime you can easily buy Vitamin D in any drugstore. Trust me, you will feel the result as soon as you start following this rule.

Rule # 3 Find Your Own Ways to Cope With Stress

It’s not a secret that more than 50% of our health problems are caused by everyday stress. Endless number of classes, homework, essays and it seems like you will never be able to cope with everything on time… We all know this feeling. Some people are suffering from constant headaches because of that. Is there a solution? Surely! All you need to do is to find out your own special ways of coping with stress. For some people it can be sport, for others it is communication and sharing problems, for some of us simply a long sleep is the best way to recharge. So, what is your way?

Rule # 4 Healthy Food

Stop saying you don’t have time for that! Keep in mind that if you don’t find a solution for this problem now it can sooner or later result in some hard deceases, and it takes a fortune and guts to cure them. So isn’t that easier to pick the food you take more carefully now than to wait for the consequences? Try to eat more porridge, salads and beans, stop eating a lot of greasy or fried food. Reduce the number of sweets and bread that you consume and don’t forget about the rule #1, which is directly connected to this one.

Rule # 5 Enough Sleep

Yes, you know that a person should spend around 7 hours per day sleeping, but this does not mean that we need to go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 7. It’s much better to go to sleep at 10 p.m. (yes, some people have the power of will to do that), as our biological clock works a little bit different than we tend to think. Here I would like to refer to a table of sleeping value, which shows that sleeping from 19 p.m. to 20 p.m. equals to 7 hours of sleep, from 20 p.m. to 21 p.m. equals to 6 hours of sleep, from 21 p.m. to 22 p.m. equals to 5 hours of sleep and so on. Due to this system in order to receive enough energy we should sleep to get the total of at least 12 hours.

So, here are 5 main tips that can help you stay in a healthy body and mind every day during your student life. Of course, there is no sense of mentioning that smoking and alcohol consumption brings nothing good for us. As soon as you start sticking to these simple rules, you won’t be that stressed and you won’t have health problems, which can make your further life worse.
